The "Wedding" word causing costs to sore!

Afternoon and happy nearly weekend!

Over the last couple of weeks I've been getting more into planning of the wedding. Despite being made to feel like I'm stupid for bothering this far in advance I feel that as the wedding is actually booked there's no reason for me not to look into things!

Now whilst looking into things i've discovered that the pure fact that we need suppliers means that costs immediately get ridiculous!

For example i had a quote for hair and make up for me and 3 bridesmaids and it came to £700!! £700!!! Now maybe I'm just stupid but how is that reasonable?! And why is it double the cost for the bride? I promse my face is not much larger than the girls and won't require much more make up so why?

Also, £800 bloody quid for a Frank Sinatra guy to do an hour and a half of singing. I mean, eh?!

I'm loving planning but I'm relieved I over budgeted because it's pretty scary how much it all costs!

Another Monday Morning (but really afternoon)

Well well it's the start of another week and I realised I haven't written anything for a while, because I'm rubbish!

Actually I've been panic revising about an exam I've had to do for work (that has absolutely nothing to do with my job) that I managed to fail this morning, needless to say I am not at my chirpiest!

I am however looking forward to being able to sleep without nightmares about computers coming to life and shouting at me for being stupid mid exam.

I also have a feeling that Mr A is looking forward to having his fiance back for a while (at least until I have to do a re-sit)and I must confess to being slightly relieved that it's just all over with for a bit.

Not a lot else has been going on really. I'm having a serious strop at the amount of people that keep pulling a face when we say we're getting married in 2012. Are we the only ones who just don't have a big fat pot of money lying aroung?!

Don't get me wrong I'm not planning on spending 30k on the wedding (I wish I could!) but if I want a photobooth and some fancy cake then I want to be able to. Even if we were keeping it as basic as possible we'd still need to save for at least 12 months!

My Mother in Law to be even made the comment "Well I suppose if you're still together in two years it's meant to be". We've been together for 5 years and lived together for 2 and a half years.

Some people are just silly!
